A downloadable game for Windows

nanaMori is an exploration puzzle game about two classmates going into a house that known to be abandoned for a long time ago. While Mori who has the idea to go ghost hunting there at night invited Nana to do it together, Nana seems to have another goal in mind.

Keep in mind that this game is a work of FICTION. Anything that resembles real life events, persons, places, etc. are purely coincidental. If you have a problem with jumpscares then I advise you to not play this game.

Estimated Playtime: 12 minutes ~ 30 minutes per playthrough.

This is my first finished, polished RPG Maker game after years of playing around with the engine and making pixel art. nanaMori was originally a quick project I made back in the early 2020 when 'rona wasn't even a national news. The yearning of making a finished RPG Maker game made me revisiting (more like remaking from scratch) the project on this year's July. I'm aware that the writing isn't really great since I was more on applying my experience working with the RPG Maker engine and making those pixel arts, I tried my best to salvage the story; reworking the storytelling, fixing plot holes, adding a bit lore, etc.

I hope you enjoy the gaemzzz and can find all the 3 endings! :D

Made using the RPG Maker VX Ace engine.

Hello everyone! It's been more than 2 years since I uploaded this game and I'm very happy that people are playing my game (lol). I do realize that the third ending is kinda hard to get so I'm here to drop some info regarding the ending: It's called Mika ending and to get it is to make Mori flushed 3 times while avoiding hurting her for the entire run. That's all. Good luck!

Any tip for the Mori Ending?? Other than that, the game's really great

Hii i really liked your game but I cannot find the last ending :(( (I did the nanamori and the nana ending)

also there's something with the garage that I can't figure it out

I apologize. I just found out about this comment. The garage has nothing to do with any of the endings.

Neat game! I like the art style. Exploring the house and solving puzzles was fun too. The nice tidbits of lore hint at a story under the surface.

Some feedback:

  1. Normally I don’t try to hold grammar mistakes against a game, however it was kinda hard to understand some lines of dialogue in this game. In some scenes, it seems like there’s something being implied or hinted at, but I wasn’t always able to understand what the characters and game were trying to say due to spelling/grammar issues.
  2. Regarding the “horror” elements of this game. Personally, I didn’t mind the loud noises as jumpscares instead of a traditional monster. Given the context, it kinda made for some humorous situations, but this game doesn’t really have anything scary or creepy. I’m not entirely sure I want to hold this against the game, cuz horror can be subjective. Still, I was spooked but not as often as I’d like.
  3. Regarding the endings, I only found 2 of the 3 endings. I found it difficult to understand why each ending played out the way it did. I feel like there’s probably a better way to steer the players in the right direction for each ending. This game doesn’t quite get there. I managed to get the Nanamori ending and the Nana ending, but I couldn’t figure out how to get that last ending! Any advice you can give would be appreciated! :)

Overall, I think it was a fine experience! Good job on this!

Thank you for your feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game, the lore, and the art. Looks like my years doing pixel art comes into fruition XD

  1. I apologize if there are grammar mistakes in the game that make some hints unclear. Though, I believe I intentionally left some parts vague, but that doesn't make up for the mistakes either.
  2. I'm aware this game is littered with 'cheap' jump scares, and I left it as the game's charm (or the lack of it).
  3. I also find the build up for the endings a bit ridiculous when I first played the original version I made last year. I tried my best to put some sense into the current version. Looks like I didn't make it quite well XD

Once again, thank you for playing my game. This game supposed to be my first 'released' game and also 'fun' side project so it bound to have some weird stuffs going on :'D

Also nice video too! Looks like you didn't installed the font. Some dialogues are cut off without it.

(psst, have you tried to keep note on Mori's expression? Perhaps that could help you on your next 'less painful Mori' run)
